Description

Base Bid – Disconnect and remove existing 60 Ton Air Cooled Scroll Chiller unit (Trane - Intellipak Model # CGAFC604AAAODT, Serial # J97L84158) from existing concrete pad. Disconnect and remove approximately 60 feet of existing exterior 3 inch chilled water lines and existing 1 inch pipe insulation. Disconnect and remove two (2) existing butterfly valves and existing pressure gauge. Turnover existing pressure gauge over to site staff. Dispose of existing air cooled chiller, existing exterior chilled water piping, and existing exterior pipe insulation offsite per applicable EPA regulations. Reuse existing 10’ – 6” x 8’ – 6” concrete pad for new unit. Provide and install one (1) new nominal 52-ton air cooled scroll chiller unit on existing concrete pad. System design consists of 25 % ethylene glycol with a flow rate of 120 gallons per minute. New unit to have: new line set, refrigerant lines, low ambient kit with operating range of 120 F to 0 F, have crankcase heater, variable speed condensing fans, and installed per manufacturers recommendations. Reuse all existing electrical disconnects. Reuse existing thermostats and temperature sensors. New unit to have high and low-pressure protection/ compressor overload protection. New unit to have self contained control package. New unit shall use R410A as a refrigerant. Modify or extend all existing piping/ electrical to accommodate the piping configuration requirements of the new unit. Any electrical and electrical conduit extensions required, will be the responsibility of the contractor, and meet all applicable NEC electrical codes. Provide and install approximately 60 feet of new exterior 3 inch chilled water piping, two (2) new butterfly valves, and one new pressure gauge. All new exterior chilled water piping to be insulated with new one inch insulation approved by NAIMA for exterior use. Tie in all electrical, controls, ductwork, and insulation, per applicable codes. New chiller unit shall be rated in accordance with AHRI Standard 360, ASHRAE 90.1, be UL listed, and have a minimum EER rating of 10. Existing Sequence of Operation is as follows: A) The DDC System shall have alarm pump failures and high and low limits for chilled water supply and return temperatures. B) The building automation system (BAS) will allow for monitoring of the chiller and the chilled water supply and return temperature. Chiller will operate under manufacturer’s controls. C) Chilled water pumps P-1,2 will operate on a call for cooling. D) Start up and test new system to ensure complete system is working as designed.
