Drainage Improvements at Lugent Lane

This project pertains to the installation of a new drainage system at the eastern terminus of Lugent Lane and on private properties identified as AP 28, Lot 124 (41 Lugent Lane), and AP 48, Lot 42, as shown on the construction plan prepared by Caputo and Wick Ltd., dated October 25, 2019. The Contractor will be responsible for verifying the location of all utilities above and below the surface and obtaining a DigSafe permit. The project includes saw cutting existing bituminous pavement; removing and legally disposing existing bituminous pavement; excavating and installing new CPEP drainage pipe, drop inlets (2), solid-rim drain basin (1), open-grate drain basins (2), and pipe-end outlet protection; backfilling and compacting pipe trench with approved gravel borrow; reconstructing dry stone wall; installing temporary bituminous trench patch in Lugent Lane and driveway; installing bituminous berm; loaming and seeding; and any incidentals necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. After a suitable settlement period of approximately 60 days (or spring), the project requires saw cutting bituminous pavement in Lugent Lane (providing straight edges between drainage structures); removing the temporary bituminous trench patch in Lugent Lane; removing and disposing existing bituminous driveway pavement in its entirety, including driveway trench patch; regrading existing driveway to drain away from resident’s garage and towards new drain basins; installing new 2½” bituminous binder course and new 1½” surface course over Lugent Lane trench; and installing new 1½” bituminous binder course and new 1½” surface course over entire driveway.
