Description

The Purpose of the water quality sampling is for the presence of Legionella is to evaluate conditions, collect samples, and provide a report on the findings with recommendations where applicable. Vendor will conduct a visual assessment of the sampling area and Conduct preparation procedures prior to sampling. Vendor must collect water quality samples using sterilized bottles of known size in general accordance with the Center of Disease Control. Vendor must submit samples to an independent accredited laboratory where samples will be analyzed. Laboratory analysis should include the identification and enumeration of L. pneumophila serotype1, L. pneumophila serotype 2-14 and Legionella sp.(M345). Vendor must collect twenty (20) water quality samples to test the presence of Legionella in the sampling locations to be provided by the hospital. Vendor must conduct twenty (20) samples monthly for a total of a six (6) month period. Vendor must provide all materials, sampling media, travel time, shipping, and analysis. Vendor must compile a report which must include all observations, findings, laboratory data and recommendations. Vendor will provide an electric copy of the report via email to the hospital. Vendor will provide a physical copy that will be mailed through the United State Postal Services to the hospital. Vendor must provide the electronic copy to the hospital within 16 days of sampling.
