Description | As of January 27, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The project will provide airfield apron pavement and taxilane extension. The Paving project will include approximately 2,500 cubic yards of excavation, 1,265 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base, 6,900 square yards of portland cement concrete pavement, 600 linear feet of chain link fencing. The project will also include modification of storm sewer inlets and airfield pavement marking All questions must be submitted in writing to kerwin@wkdickson.com before the Pre-Submittal Question Deadline being Monday, December 12, 2022, at 5:00 pm Cutoff for questions is June 18, 2021 at 5:00 pm The project will provide airfield apron pavement and taxilane extension. The Paving project will include approximately 6,000 cubic yards of excavation, 3,100 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base, 16,540 square yard of portland cement concrete pavement, 2,100 linear feet of chain link fencing. The project will also include installation and modification of storm sewer inlets and airfield pavement marking. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all required building permits and for providing documents sealed by a South Carolina Professional Engineer as necessary. It is anticipated that the contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if an award is made If the bidder fails to achieve the contract goal stated herein, he will be required to provide documentation demonstrating that he made a good faith effort. The bidders documentation shall be submitted in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities. : The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26, Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, apply to this contract. It is the policy of Greenville Spartanburg Airport District to practice nondiscrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin in the award or performance of this contract. All firms qualifying under this solicitation are encouraged to submit bids/proposals. Award of this contract will be considered upon satisfying the requirements of this bid specification. These requirements apply to all bidders/offerors, including those who qualify as DBE. A DBE contract goal of 7.7% has been established for this contract. The bidder/offeror shall make good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A, 49 CFR Part 26 (Attachment 1), to meet the contract goal by utilizing DBEs in the performance of this contract All questions must be submitted in writing to gkershaw@wkdickson.com before the Pre-Submittal Question Deadline being Friday, June 18, 2021 at 5:00 pm. All answers will be issued in the form of a written addendum. The Owner will not accept or consider proposals from any contractor whose name, at the time of opening of bids or award, appears on the then-current list of ineligible contractors published by the Comptroller General of the United States under Section 5.6 (b) of the Regulations of the Secretary of Labor (29) CFR nor a proposal from any firm, corporation, partnership, or proprietorship in which an ineligible contractor who, at the time of the opening of bids or the award, is removed from the Department of Transportations list of prequalified contractors.
