Box 3827, Beaumont, TX 77704-3827 Phone # (409) 880-3757 Fax # (409) 880-3747 E-mail: june.jordan@beaumonttexas.gov All structures are located within the city limits of Beaumont. 2.2 The Contractor shall make every effort possible to secure demolition site in residential neighborhood. 2.3 It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide security of any and all equipment or material left on the construction site at any time during this contract. 2.4 The Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all utilities are disconnected. This includes calling 811 before you dig to determine location of any underground utilities. A list of these companies follows: - Entergy Electric Company - Centerpoint Energy - City of Beaumont - Water Utilities - AT&T - Spectrum The above is provided for informational purposes only. The Contractor is responsible for notifying all utility companies. 2.5 Demolition includes structures, slab/foundation, and parking lots. 2.6 Once a structure is demolished, all debris should be hauled off at that time. 2.7 Under no circumstances may all structures be demolished and then removed. Structures are to be demolished and removed individually. 2.8 All debris, trash, litter, porches/steps, and/or chain walls shall be removed from sites. Contractor is responsible for removing all construction debris, including but not limited to, trash, litter, porches/steps and/or chain walls (to a minimum depth of 24 inches), tires, trees, concrete, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS. 2.9 Trees surrounding the perimeter of the property shall be left in place, if possible. Trees and shrubs adjacent to building may be removed. Downed trees and limbs shall be removed. 2.10 If fences are to remain, contractor shall make every effort to minimize damage to fences. Contractor will be advised prior to commencement of work if fence is to remain in place. Contractor will be responsible for damage to fence as determined by the Field Supervisor. 2.11 Remove all walkways, unless otherwise stated. 2.12 Leave all approaches, unless otherwise stated. 2.13 Contractor is responsible for repairing damage, at the contractor's expense, to existing sidewalks, driveways, and/or fence, if damage is the result of contractor's negligence. The Field Supervisor will determine negligence and his/her decision is final. 2.14 Junked motor vehicles left on property will be removed by others. |
