Description | In accordance with TxDOT's DBE Policy, the City has established a goal for DBE participation in this solicitation of 8%. The offeror will be expected to meet or exceed, and/or demonstrate its good faith efforts to meet the goal. This goal, expressed as a percentage of the total contract price, including any increases that may occur. Eligibility of Bidders: Any Contractor intending to bid on this project to be awarded by City of Mission must be prequalified by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). If Contractor is not prequalified, the Contractor must submit a satisfactory Confidential Questionnaire Form and an audited financial statement, or a Bidder's Questionnaire Form to the TxDOT Construction Division at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date that bids are to be opened. Obtain prequalification forms from the TxDOT Construction Division. The bidder is specifically advised that the bid must be accompanied by a bid bond from a reliable surety company licensed to operate in the State of Texas, totaling five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guaranty that if awarded the bid, the bidder shall meet all specification requirements and delivery date(s). A certified cashier's check will be allowed in lieu of a bid bond for five (5%) of the total amount for the project. Solicitations and Addendums will be posted to the City of Mission electronically in the bid opportunities section or may be picked up at the Purchasing Department. Consists of Grading, Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Lime Treated Subgrade, Flexible Base, Irrigation Culverts, Storm Drains, Riprap, Signing, and Traffic Signals.
