Tolland Turnpike Sidewalk Installation - North Main Street to Slater Street

Work under this contract includes the installation of 3,360 linear feet of concrete sidewalk on the northerly roadside of Tolland Turnpike from its intersection at North Main Street northeasterly to the traffic control signal at Slater Street. This sidewalk extension will eliminate a gap in the existing sidewalk network connecting dense residential areas to transportation and employment centers. It includes other appurtenant work such as installation of retaining walls, construction of concrete sidewalk ramps, construction of bituminous concrete driveway aprons, installation/resetting of granite stone curbing, traffic control, surface restoration, and new crosswalks including traffic control signs, markings, and devices.
