Description | Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Question Deadline 05/17/2023 at 2:00 PM ET Scope of Work Replace Overhead Doors at King Open School Parking Garage 1. Remove existing parking garage doors as required to replace with new, while maintaining after hours security. At least one lane of the two-lane entrance/exit to the underground parking garage is to be fully accessible during weekdays, 6:00 AM till 6:00 PM. At end of each workday, Parking Garage shall be secure from entry of nonauthorized personnel. 2. Provide new overhead coiling doors with following features: a. Direct drive. b. Springless c. 25% minimum free area. d. Safety light curtain shall detect any obstruction for full width and a minimum of eight (8) feet below bottom bar of overhead door. e. New Guides and tracks. f. Motor cover and full length Hood, Galvanized steel. g. Opening speed minimum 20" per second, closing speed minimum 12" per second. h. Automatic locking. i. Control panel with stop button, key switch (On, Off, Open, Close) in a NEMA 4X enclosure, UL Rated, LED readout indicating door action, fault codes, alarm conditions. Adjustable time delay closing. Non-resettable cycle counter. j. Chain hoist for opening during power failure. k. Door assembly shall be rated for lifetime minimum 200,000 cycles. A cycle shall consist of door opening fully and closing as one cycle. l. Door assembly shall be rated for a minimum of 20 cycles per hour. m. Motor shall be compatible with existing electrical power: 480 Volt, 3 Phase, 20 Amp circuit n. Compatible with existing loop detectors and card readers. o. Reinforced bottom bar, Either double angle or steel angle with sensing edge. p. Disable and disconnect any radio control or wifi operation. 3. Acceptable Manufacturers: a. Hormann Speed Guardian 5000 b. Overhead Door Corporation Model 611 c. Cornell Extreme Series Model EPG324 d. Wayne-Dalton 600 HC Series e. As equal models from Raynor. 4. Provide submittals in electronic format that show compliance with above required features. 5. Existing door opening is approximately 10'0" wide by 14'0" high. Vendor shall verify exact dimensions. 6. Set end of travel distance for door open and door close and record heights in O&M Manuals. 7. Mount control panel so that controls are at 48" above the floor level. 8. After overhead doors are installed, demonstrate use to school staff and correct any deficiencies noted. 9. Identify recommended service and service intervals. 10. Provide one electronic and two hard copies of Operating and service manual. Transmit O&M manuals to CPS Facilities Department, 456 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138 and obtain written signature confirming receipt. |
