Description

Waste Removal: The contractor shall remove sewage waste, litter, and debris from two (one men’s, one women’s) vault toilets at the Tailwater Recreation Area, two (one men’s, one women’s) vault toilets at the Wilson Creek Recreation Area, and two (one men’s, one women’s) vault toilets at Pikes Ridge Campground at Green River Lake. This waste is held within plastic and/or concrete holding tanks (Vaults) and may be accessible from the areas outside of the buildings or from inside the restrooms. All waste shall be hauled in an approved vehicle and shall be disposed of at an appropriate licensed disposal facility. Disposal receipts shall be provided to the Park Manager. This work requires that all sewage, litter, debris, liquid, and any foreign matter be removed from the vaults. Upon completion of waste removal, the contractor shall notify the Park Manager. Vault Toilet Restrooms include: Tailwater Vault Toilets – 2 – 700-gallon plastic tanks Wilson Creek Vault Toilets – 2 – 400-gallon concrete tanks Pikes Ridge Vault Toilets – 2 – 700-gallon plastic tanks Cleaning: The contractor shall clean the vaults of all six vault toilets. Any chemicals utilized in the cleaning process shall be compatible with disposal at a municipal wastewater treatment facility. The walls of the vaults shall be cleaned to bare concrete or plastic and to a condition that the concrete or plastic can be visually inspected. All water utilized in the cleaning process shall be pumped out of the tanks and deposited in an appropriate licensed disposal facility. Upon completion of emptying and cleaning the vaults, the contractor will be responsible for cleaning the vault toilet facility of any debris, substances, and/or chemical residue produced from the contracted work process. The contractor shall provide 2 portable toilets for use by the public during the duration of the work at Wilson Creek Campground, in a location indicated by the Park Manager. The portable toilets will be cleaned and stocked with toilet paper and essentials daily for the duration of the contract work. Installation and removal of the portable toilets is the responsibility of the contractor and will be done at the contractor’s expense.
