Description | The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is inviting written bids for all Project Management, Superintendence, labor, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, supplies and appurtenances described by this solicitation. The proposed contract is for 450 hours of vegetation and brush removal on various locations within the Spavinaw Wildlife Management Area (WMA) on the southern end of the GMA portion. The vegetation/brush removal will also be on various fireguards/ridge tops clearings/old firewood wood plots along McCaslin Walk-In Area. Work will consist of woody vegetation (Pine, Oak, and Hickory) removal along fireguards/old ridge top clearings and along old firewood wood plots. Masticating of all trees 8 or less will be done on the clearings/wood plots. The various ridgetops for masticating will be determined by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation area personnel to achieve the Pine/Oak Savanna restoration of the WMA. This project could create 524 acres of wildlife openings The location of Spavinaw WMA is 12 miles Southwest of Jay and 16 miles Northeast of Salina. Additional directions will be given to the awarding bidder upon contract award. The equipment to be used must meet the following minimum specifications: Forestry Mulching equipment, minimum of 100 HP, rubber tracks, forestry mulching heads, and must include an operator. Equipment must be low ground pressure, tracked equipment capable of mulching the woody vegetation. Vendor is to provide all labor and needed equipment to complete the work as required. Project must be completed within 120 days of contract award. All work will be done as directed by the ODWC Area Biologist or ODWC Area Wildlife Technician. Please note that this will be awarded as a Non-Binding Contract. The number of hours is an estimate only, and they may increase or decrease depending on total bid per hour. As such, the contract will be awarded based on the bid per hour for the total price allotted. Contract will be awarded to one vendor only. If the vendor is awarded multiple ODWC projects, they must be capable of completing each project simultaneously. All work-execution related communications must go through the Agency Representative.
