Description

The successful Bidder will be responsible for providing the following services for each Property included in this project: 1. Abatement of asbestos indicated in the attached Asbestos Containing Material and Hazardous Materials Inspection Report by a licensed asbestos abatement contractor in accordance with state and federal regulations prior to demolition. a. The demolition contractor is strictly prohibited from beginning demolition of the structure prior to receiving clearance to proceed from the City. The City has hired an independent contractor to conduct hazardous material clearance inspections in order to verify that all hazardous materials have been abated prior to demolition. The demolition contractor must provide an air monitoring report and notify the City when all hazardous material has been abated. There will be a $5,000.00 fine for beginning demolition of the structure prior to the hazardous material clearance inspection and authorization to proceed with the demolition from the City. The contractor will not be paid for the demolition of any structure if they begin demolition of the structure prior to the hazardous material clearance inspection and authorization to proceed with the demolition from the City.
