Description | The County of Riverside Department of Housing Homelessness Prevention and Workforce Solutions on behalf of the Community Development Block Grant, Special Federal Provisions for Construction Projects less than $200,000 are included in this RFB as Attachment C- Special Federal Provisions, Attachment E- Questionnaire Regarding Bidders, and Attachment F- Post Award. The following license is required for this project: either A - General Engineering Contractor, B - General Building Contractor's, or C-61/D-3 Limited Specialty/ Awnings specialty license issued by the State of California. Contractor shall obtain, maintain and pay all licenses associated with construction activities, such as business licenses, Contractors' licenses and vehicle and equipment licenses. All costs for licenses shall be included in the Contract Sum. Date: May 13, 2022 Time: No later than 1:30 p.m. Must be in the form of an Email The enclosed certified or cashier's check or bid bond on the provided form, made payable to the County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, is hereby given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute and deliver the Agreement and required bonds if awarded the contract. In the event that the bidder fails or refuses to execute and deliver said documents, such check or bond is to be charged with the costs of the damages experienced by the County as a result of such failure or refusal. CONTRACTOR agrees to notify COUNTY of any claim by a third party or any incident or event that may give rise to a claim arising from the performance of this Agreement. F. Fire Insurance. If required by the RCFD Project Manager, the Contractor shall have in effect and maintain fire insurance, with extended coverage endorsements, upon the work to 100% of the insurable value thereof, including items of labor and materials (whether in or adjacent to the structure), materials in place or to be used as part of the permanent construction (including surplus materials), protective fences, temporary structures, miscellaneous materials and supplies incidental to the work. Contractor shall keep each structure fully insured, without additional cost to the County, until final inspection and acceptance of all work. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any discrepancy, technicality or informalities in a bid or in the bidding process, and to make the award in any manner determined by the County to be most advantageous to the County. |
