Description

Description of Work: the Proposed Work is Officially Known as the "green Street Elevation Project" and is Further Described as Follows: the Work Generally Includes the Installation of Three 8' by 12' Precast Box Culverts, Roadway Construction Approximately 12' Above Existing Grade, Furnished Excavation, Installation of Water Main and Storm Sewer, and Related Appurtenances. Contractors May Obtain an Electronic Copy of the Contract Documents at No Cost by Sending an E-mail to Eda@etch-dutt.com. (C) the City of Ottawa Encourages Minority Business Firms to Submit Bids and the Successful Contract Bidder to Use Minority Businesses as Subcontractors for Suppliers, Equipment, Services, and Construction. (D) All Proposals Must Be Submitted on Forms Supplied by the City of Ottawa and Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond, Money Order, or Certified Check for Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount of the Bid Made Payable to the City of Ottawa. The Proposal Guarantee Shall Include the Base Bid and All Alternate Bids (if Applicable). The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond Each in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. (E) Not Less Than the Prevailing Minimum Rate of Wages as Found by the Department of Labor or Determined by the Court on Review Shall Be Paid to All Laborers, Workmen and Mechanics Performing Work Under This Contract. The Contractor Shall Conform to the Requirements of a "responsible Bidder" as Defined by City of Ottawa Ordinance No. 062-2022. All Contractors and Subcontractors Must Register ($100.00 Fee) Annually to Work in the City of Ottawa. Contractors Must Also Furnish a License and a $10,000.00 Permit Bond. 4. Rejection of Bids: the City of Ottawa Reserves the Right to Waive Technicalities or to Reject Any or All Proposals.
