Description

A/E firms to provide design services for the expansion of the new water tank and routing a designated fire line to the existing buildings at the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) Enclave on Buckley Air Force Base (BAFB). Currently, the water infrastructure on base is not sufficient to support the Air Force’s requirement for High Expansion Foam (HEF) systems and water deluge systems in hangars. The intent of this project is to increase the water capacity at the Enclave to support the existing fire suppression systems in Buildings 1500, 1510, and 1511. The required design disciplines that are anticipated for this project involve the expertise within specialized areas of civil engineering, water distribution infrastructure, and fire protection. It is also anticipated that the selected A/E firm will need to be familiar with the existing manufacture’s tank.
