Description | This project consists of the construction and installation of a concrete vault to house a metering and pressure reducing valve (PRV) station, along with the associated piping, valves, instrumentation, equipment, and other appurtenances associated with the metering and PRV vault. Included in the project is all excavation, demolition, concrete and asphalt restoration, and installation of appurtenant facilities as shown in the Project Documents. Construction also includes a special connection to the existing 48-inch diameter steel transmission line owned and operated by Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District (JVWCD). Installation of nearly 120 feet of high-pressure fabricated steel pipeline from the JVWCD connection to and through the vault, and then transitioning to, and connecting to the Riverton City 14-inch diameter ductile iron pipe (DIP) culinary water distribution system is all a part of this project. The buried power service line installation and associated reconfiguration of power according to Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) requirements and specifications is also included in this project. The new vault can be either cast-in-place, or precast, at the discretion of the successful bidder. However, either installation shall be structurally designed, stamped and certified by a structural engineer under the responsibility of the successful bidder. All associated piping, valves, fittings, and other appurtenances in relationship with the 11800 South Water Meter/PRV Vault Project are to be included. Installation of all features and facilities associated with this project are to be in accordance with the Project Documents as defined herein, and per Riverton City Standards, and/or APWA Standards. |
