Install a single hardwired Smoke/CO detector to the service panel in the basement if not present. Ensure for the proper functioning of existing, or installation of new ceiling Mounted battery operated Smoke/CO detectors outside all bedrooms. Not required in kitchens or bathrooms. Install standard battery operated smoke detectors in all bedrooms. Install or insure proper functioning of GFCI outlets near water sources in Kitchens/ bathrooms, and basement outlets or exterior outlets as may be required. Any exterior outlets must be GFCI and secured in an approved weather proof casing with a bubble cover. Secure any loose or hanging wires in the basement or throughout the dwelling as may be observed, and install proper boxes/box covers for any spliced or open wiring in the basement. The information contained in this bid package is for the purpose of providing general project specifications of the items included in the scope of work. Code compliance work required by the local building officials and fire marshal will be limited to those items directly relating to lead abatement activities. All other code compliance issues will be the responsibility of the property owner, and will not be funded under this program.
