Description | Any questions regarding this RFP should be directed to Rachel Bost by email: rbost@olemiss.edu no later than 3:00 pm on November 17, 2023. All emails must reference RFP # 745 - Resident Hall Security Page 5 of 9 and Integrator Services in the subject line of the email The Department of Student Housing seeks to contract with an integrator to purchase, install, and service a new security platform to ensure a safer and more efficient environment for our staff and residents. Our current security platform, which is divided amongst several vendors, has proven to be inefficient and difficult to maintain. The system is out of date, and much of the system has been discontinued. The current door access control software is TotalCard. The relationship has been maintained since the installation of the current system. Over the past year, we have observed many issues related to an outdated system and a vendor that is unable to provide the level of service required for an institution as large as the University of Mississippi Student Housing The current system is a network of mini-PCs located in each building. The computers contain Isonas software, which is an intermediate between the exterior and gender doors and the server, has been discontinued. Other PCs in the building manage the wireless locks (AD400 or WA Series) installed on the resident doors and offices. This software can operate simultaneously on a PC that houses the Isonas software. The AD400 locks are networked directly to the TotalCard/IBM server located in the University of Mississippi SuperComputer Center. The University of Mississippi Student Housing currently estimates an annual expenditure of around $150,000 for security. This total includes the maintenance of the door access control system, camera licenses, replacement cameras, and maintenance of the exterior and gender doors. Any questions regarding this RFP should be directed to Rachel Bost by email: rbost@olemiss.edu no later than 3:00 pm on November 17, 2023. Proposal must specify any and all licensing, training, and other costs. Proposal should indicate these as one time and ongoing and present full life cycle costs for a term of five years. If not the incumbent vendor, your proposal should include transition costs. Proposal should include a statement describing coverage of general and professional liability insurance with limits of at least $1,000,000. A copy of the insurance certificate should also be included. Question Deadline 11/17/2023 at 3:00 PM CT The University Reserves the Right to Reject All Proposals Received. This RFP does not commit UM to contract for any requirements detailed in this document. UM reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in the proposal received. |
