Description

Replacement of Bridge No. 1701401 on US 301 Northbound over Chester River. The new bridge will have a clear roadway width of 38'-0'' with two 12-foot-wide travel lanes and a 4’-0” inside shoulder and 10’-0” outside shoulder. The proposed structure will be a 235’ long three span (70’, 95’, 70’) steel girder bridge. The project includes removal and replacement of the existing bridge, salvaging the existing temporary concrete barriers on the bridge, installation of steel H- piles and pipe piles, installation of sheet pile walls, construction of a temporary cross over roadway, stormwater management swales, milling and resurfacing, wedge and level, and full depth pavement reconstruction.
