Description | As of January 8, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Base Bids: The scope of work of this project consists of a construction of a new 3-story Annex building connected to the existing Greene County Courthouse which will have secure access parking garage for building occupants and Office of Court Administration Judges on the ground floor; Judges' chambers, offices, meeting spaces, court and hearing rooms, and support spaces on the Second Floor; and grand jury room, offices, work rooms, conference rooms, and support spaces on the Third Floor. The work also includes restoration and renovation of the existing Carriage House located on the property and related site work. The work ofthis project will be let in four (4) separate contracts divided according to the work of separate Prime Contractors for the following: Contract No. 1 : General Construction Contract No. 2: Plumbing Systems Contract No. 3: HVAC Systems Contract No. 4: Electrical Systems Prospective bidders may request clarifications of the Bid Documents from the Architect by contacting Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture and Preservation, LLP, by e-mail to suytiepo@trwarch.com. All questions must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. All e-mails must have subject line " Greene County Courthouse Annex". Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. A one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder at the time of contract signing. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to Greene County prior to incorporation into the work of the Contracts. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids. |
