Description

The work to be done under this Contract consists of the cleaning and lining of approx. 3,100 feet of 6" water main within the four project areas in Waltham, as well as installation of approx. 570 feet total of 6" water main, installation of approx. 25 feet of 8" water main on intersections of Trapelo and Kingston Road, removal and installation of approx. 2,350 feet of 1" Copper services on all streets within the project areas and removal and installation of 9 hydrants. The work to be performed will include excavation, removal of the existing water main, installation of the new main, cleaning and lining of existing water main, replacing existing water services, backfill, and related appurtenances, hot mix asphalt patching of streets and sidewalks, resetting of curb and other incidental work as required. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the Contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work.
