Description | Demolition and Site Clearance of the two-story townhouse at 7209 Ken Knight Drive East; including all applicable permits and disconnects. Before the demolition can begin, the contractor must obtain: a. A notarized signature (on a Building Permit Application) from the owner of the adjoining unit at 7211 Ken Kight Drive East, authorizing the contractor to weatherize and reinforce the exterior wall of the townhouse. b. An approved Building/Renovation Permit from the City of Jacksonville for 7211 Ken Knight Drive East. 2. Weatherizing and reinforcing of the wall and roof of the adjoining unit at 7211 Ken Knight Drive East; including all applicable engineering and building permits. The remaining interior wall of the adjoining unit must meet the local and state building code for an exterior wall of a residential structure, and all work must be done in compliance with all applicable laws regulating construction and zoning. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for removing and capping underground utilities at the property line or meter location. Relocation of electrical service/meter box/weather head may also be required. 4. The contractor shall be responsible for protecting adjacent property. Including the repairing/restoring of any damage caused by the demolition/renovation of the subject property. 5. The contractor shall provide a temporary enclosure of the adjoining unit to prevent access by the elements during reconstruction. 6. (If the floor slab remains in place) in order to prevent standing water, the contractor must use a carbide blade saw to cut the existing slab from side to side and front to back at least two inches in depth. 7. The demolition and renovation must be completed within 30 days of the receipt of the signed, Notice to Proceed with Demolition letter. |
