Construction Manager and General Contractor Services for the Logan Library Design and Construction Project

The new Logan City Library will be constructed on the exiting Logan City Library site and adjacent parking lot north of the existing library. Demolition of the existing building, including asbestos mitigation, is part of this contract. The building will be constructed at the southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and 300 North Street. The new library project will include staff and visitor parking, library materials drop off and a new outdoor plaza connected to the existing city hall plaza. The Logan Library will be a 35,000-square foot, multi-level building. We anticipate over 700 patrons per day will enter the library. There are 26 staff members, full and part-time. The new library will be a community center with meeting rooms that will be available for use by groups of varying sizes as well as programming by library staff members (story times and other educational and fun activities for children, tweens, teens and adults). We anticipate a vibrant children's area, a techy teen/tween area and quiet areas for adults. The new Logan Library will have areas for books, DVDs, CDs, and other items available for check out. Furnishings will be cleanable and functional. The library will be adaptable and flexible to meet with changing needs as the future develops.
