Upgrading Network Infrastructure

Brownsburg Community School Corporation will be upgrading various Cisco 2960S edge switches, Cisco 1142 access points, backup power supplies, cabling and other items as outlined in the specifications section of this document. Proposed switching equipment must be able to interface with owner’s existing Cisco3850 and 4500 core switches. Existing WiFi access points share a common Cisco 5520 controller, as well as a common set of SSID’s across our campus. Equipment shall be new, factory-sealed equipment currently available from the manufacturer; the District will not accept proposals of used, remanufactured, refurbished, “B stock,” returns, open-box, discontinued, “gray market,” or equipment in any other condition other than new and factory- sealed with all original manufacturer warranties. Brownsburg Community Schools IT staff will perform the bulk of the physical installation of the equipment, with a set number of hours established for the vendor to provide installation guidance, basic configuration, any needed training, as well as facilitate a successful implementation onto the BCSC network. Please include full specifications of the proposed equipment, as well as any additional information to detail device functionality and features beyond the base specifications listed in this RFP.
