Houghton Drainage Improvements

The Base Bid consists of drainage improvements for the installation of approximately 1,900 LF of 6'X3' reinforced concrete box (RCB) storm sewer, with ditch improvements and driveway culvert replacements, east of Houston Avenue to San Antonio Avenue, on Humble, Amarillo and Waco. Drainage improvements also include casting of a 10' wide base concrete lining on an existing channel by Avenue B. Utility work includes approximately 450 LF of sanitary sewer lateral and appurtenances as well as seven waterline adjustments. Multiple locations within project limits require utility exploration. The Additive Alternate Bid consists of ditch work and driveway culvert replacements west of Houston Avenue along Coach Emory Bellard Drive from Waco Street to W Main Street. A. The proposed location for the Base Bid improvements is along Humble Street,bAmarillo Street between Houston, and El Paso Avenue, and along Waco Street between Coach Emory Bellard Drive and El Paso Avenue, promoting positive drainage to San Antonio Avenue, along San Antonio Avenue from Humble Street to Waco Street and across City owned property to Mustang Drive. Additional improvements will occur in the existing drainage channel east of the high school baseball fields, continuing south and then east south of San Angelo to Avenue B. B. The Additive Bid improvements are along Humble Street and Amarillo Street between Houston Avenue and Coach Emory Bellard, and along Coach Emory Bellard from Waco Street to West Main Street.
