Description | Separate bids will be required on a lump sum basis for each of the following Prime Contractors for the Project: Contract No. 20-05-03 General Construction (GC) Contract No. 20057-Plumb Plumbing Construction (PC) Contract No. 20057-Mech Mechanical Construction (MC) Contract No. 20057-Elec Electrical Construction (EC) For General Construction, the project will be known as Project Number 20-05-03. For MEP, the project will be known as 20057-Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical. Inquiries regarding this Advertisement for Bids shall be submitted electronically. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified check, bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than 10% of the Base Bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds from an acceptable surety company in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract amounts. An acceptable surety company is any one included in the latest issue of the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 listing. The successful bidders shall be required to enter into written contract(s) in accordance with contract documents available from the Architect. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 6/29/2022 4:00 PM The project will require all Contractors to abide by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. Construction is scheduled to begin about July 25, 2022, subject to all necessary permits being issued. The Monroe County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids and award contracts in the best interests of the Borough.
