Description | A slide has occurred on the hillside behind the Tom Mattox residence. The slide will negatively impact the home if allowed to continue further. To remediate this issue, a reinforced steel (rebar as setup) concrete wall (AML 30-60-1) will be constructed behind the Mattox residence. It will be backfilled with Class II/III aggregate to enhance wall/slope stability. A subdrain behind the wall will be installed to collect subsurface drainage which will enhance the long-term stability of the wall system. The subdrain will daylight into a proposed concrete dropbox and HDPE pipe system; this system will be day-lighted into the nearby channel through the HDPE Pipe. An Earthwork Bid Item is included for Wall excavation and other excavation needed to construct other items; this include transportation to the off-site waste area. Hoe Ram is setup to excavate bedrock that may encountered during earthwork/wall construction efforts. Class II/III ditch is included to carry surface water from the hillside above the proposed wall and around the home. Erosion Control Blanket – ECB is setup to install on transition zones to allow for revegetation and prevent erosion in these areas. Silt Barrier – Bales & Fence is included to be installed for sediment control. A Class II rock check is included to control sediment in the receiving channel. These will be maintain throughout the project duration. Re-vegetation using agricultural limestone, fertilizer, seed, and mulch will be implemented on all areas (waste area and hillside above) disturbed by this project. Residential Seeding is setup to reveg around the Mattox Property only. Dense grade, Roadway stone and Bituminous Repair is setup to provide for repair in kind non-state maintained roadways used for access. Utility relocation is setup to protect and/or repair existing utilities that may be disturbed to facilitate normal reclamation activities. Material generated by this project will be wasted at an off-site waste area. This offset waste area was previously disturbed by a Title 5 Deep Mine Operation.
