Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the completion of Project Number 517-19-302, "Renovate Medical Surgical Ward for Patient Privacy" at the VA Medical Center Beckley, WV, in accordance with solicitation documents. Prior to commencing work, general contractor shall provide proof that an OSHA Certified "Competent Person" CP (29CFR 1926.20(b)(2) will maintain a presence at the work site whenever the General or Sub Contractors are present. Bidders are cautioned that it is their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under this solicitation. Pricing shall be submitted utilizing the bid schedule included in the solicitation. The solicitation contains a base bid and two bid deducts. All requests for information about this solicitation must be in writing and received prior to 2:00 p.m. Est. IAW VAAR 836.204 the magnitude for construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 It is strongly recommended that bidders send a representative to attend the pre-bid site visit on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Est. at the Beckley VA Medical Center Building 2 conference room. Individual site visits will not be conducted. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside pursuant to 38 USC 8127 (d) and PL 109-461. The SDVOSB status must be verified prior to submitting a bid in accordance with VAAR 819.7003. Contractors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining required State and Local Licenses as well as the payment of local Business and Occupation (B&O) Taxes. A public bid opening will be held at the Beckley VA Medical Center, 200 Veterans Drive, Beckley, WV, Building 2 Conference room on May 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. est. Award will be made to the responsive/responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only bid price. Award shall not be made until all required approvals have been obtained and the award otherwise conforms to FAR 14.103-2. Contractor is responsible for correct wage titles and compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws. The Contractor shall be liable for, and shall indemnify and hold harmless the Government against, all actions or claims for loss of or damage to property or the injury or death of person(s), resulting from the fault, negligence, or wrongful act or omission of the Contractor, its agents, or employees. Contractor will be required to comply with all badging and security requirements to include background checks, fingerprinting and any other requirements, and must be cleared before beginning work. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
