On-Call Wastewater Equipment Maintenance

Once a specific project is developed and the scope of work established, the Contractor shall submit a Schedule of Work with number of hours estimated to complete the tasks described in the specific scope of work. The Contractor shall execute the Work in a timely manner and in accordance with the submitted Schedule of Work. The City of Bakersfield (City) is seeking to enter into an agreement with multiple qualified maintenance and repair contractors for providing equipment maintenance and repair services for Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 and Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 3 on an on-call basis. The term of agreement shall be in place for three years from the effective date of the Agreement and may be extended in accordance with the provisions of the RFQ for two additional one-year periods upon mutually approval from the City and Contractor. The equipment maintenance work required may include general troubleshooting, routine preventative maintenance, and significant repairs and rehabilitation of equipment. The wastewater equipment that requires maintenance and repair includes, but is not limited to, centrifuges used for sludge dewatering, anaerobic digester mixing and heating systems, aeration and foul air blowers, digester gas flares, various pumps, emergency backup generators, cogeneration systems, solar field equipment, and various instrumentation/electrical systems.
