Harvey County 2023 RCB Replacement Program

**As of July 19, 2023, project was awarded to Klaver Construction , awarded amount is $282,504.09** ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Sealed bids for the Harvey County 2023 RCB Replacement Program will be received in the Office of the Harvey County Administrator until 4:00 p.m., April 21, 2023 . Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at the Bid Opening during the County Commissioners Meeting on April 25, 2023 in the Harvey County Board of County Commissioners office. The project consists of the following: This project consists of demolition of existing Bridges and RCB culvert structures and the construction of replacement reinforced concrete box culverts bridges in multiple locations in Harvey County Kansas. Three structure replacements are included under the base bid (Structures G-22.5, D-8.7 and 15-J.9) and another structure will be bid as an add alternate (Structure 4-Q.4). The existing structures vary ranging from culvert pipes, reinforced box culvert, single span concrete slab bridge and single span steel girder and timber bridge. The proposed structures will all be reinforced box culverts. Associated improvements will include roadway surfacing, grading, temporary and permanent erosion control, site restoration, and construction traffic control. Structure G-22.5 will include steel approach guardrail and bridge rail. The roadways will be closed through construction. All bids shall be unit prices for a measured quantities contract and shall be submitted on forms which may be obtained from the County Engineer (MKEC Engineering, Inc.). The proposed contract documents consisting of specifications together with information for bidders, bid proposal, forms, and forms of contract, performance bond and statutory bond, may be examined in the office of the Harvey County Administrator, Newton, Kansas and at the offices of the Engineer: 411 North Webb Road, Wichita, Kansas. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, written by a surety company acceptable to the County, or certified cashier s check in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid, which shall be retained by the County until the contract for the Project has been awarded.
