| Description | The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) requests bids for removing the existing roofing assembly to metal deck, and installing a new membrane roof system. Roof replacement area is approximately 20,000 SF over first floor administration spaces. The work consists of the following summarized items, and per drawing and specifications: 1. Remove the existing insulated modified bitumen roof system down to the surface of the metaldecking. Remove sheet metal roof flashings not designated to remain. 2. Install new layers of foam insulation as part of the roof insulation system. 3. Install high wind resistant cover board. 4. Install wood nailers and raise equipment curbs as needed. 5. Install an adhered EPDM roof system and EPDM flashings. 6. Install new sheet metal flashings and counter-flashings. 7. Provide a manufacturer’s leak free warranty covering labor and material at a no-dollar-limit. |
