Description | **As of November 30, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Zion Park District does hereby invite sealed bids for Edina Park Bike Trail Work will include earthwork operations, temporary fencing and erosion control, asphalt patching, concrete curbs and paving, crushed stone paving, site furnishings, turf grass seeding, and drainage improvements. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Zion Park District. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check. The successful bidder, as determined by the Zion Park District, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages for the locality of the Zion Park District, to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The Zion Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. The Zion Park District will award the contract to the lowest most responsible and responsive Bidder, as determined by the Zion Park District. In considering the Bidder's responsibility, the Zion Park District may evaluate, among other factors, the ability of the Bidder to provide experienced labor sufficient in numbers to timely and properly complete the services, the financial capability of the Bidder, and the performance of the Bidder on other projects. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Zion Park District. The Zion Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
