Description

General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material, hardware, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to remove entire roof surface/membrane, and all insulation to roof deck and full roof replacement at, Building 6, Salisbury, NC. Work shall include, but not be limited to: Through thermography identify the amount of existing wet/damaged roof insulation. Take a number of roof core samples, as required to determine the number of existing roof layers. Evaluate condition of roof surface, insulation, roof drains, leaders, curbs, flashings, etc. Prepare a full and complete roof analysis/thermography report. Remove and replace identified damaged/wet insulation (to the exist. deck) and recover the entire roof surface with cover board and KEE roof membrane as specified. Where it is determined that more than one (1) roof layer is in place, remove roof existing roof insulation, cover board, roof surface, and recover with new insulation (to match the thickness of the existing), cover board and KEE membrane. Remove and replace flashings, boots, curbs, and etc. Inspect and test existing drains. If not functioning clear debris or replace. New insulation shall be placed to ensure positive slope to all drains. Plans and details are diagrammatic; contractor shall verify all existing conditions to include all roof top equipment, qty. and location of roof drains and curbs prior to bid. all dimensions to be field verified. Install new roof insulation (where existing is removed), cover board, flashing, curbing (as req'd), and a warranted KEE membrane. The Contractor must thoroughly understand the extent of the work and site conditions before placing a bid.
