Description

Build out of new Main Distribution Frame (MDF) Room at Lower level which involves demolition of existing walls, removal, salvage and re-use of selected doors, installation of new MDF racks which will accommodate MDF equipment (supplied and installed by owner), and wall mounted HVAC split system. Build out of new workroom and secure storeroom at lower level which involves new custom casework and fixture to walls of new free-standing shelving (supplied by owner). Replace existing double exterior door with new double door with removable center mullion. Removal of selected lower level door, associated wall and subsequent repair of affected wall surface. Buildout of new kitchen at upper level which involves new flooring surface, new upper and lower custom casework, new sink, salvage and re-use of selected fixtures. Replace wall mounted drinking fountain. Removal and disposal of selected wall mounted items throughout, patch and paint at selected locations throughout, repair of damaged resilient wall base throughout. Installation of new emergency power generator, emergency electrical panel and Automatic Transfer Switch to service new MDF Room and selected existing circuits. Exterior work includes: Paint south side exterior wall to match existing, Generator pad, generator installation and access to service generator, Heat Pump pad and installation of Heat Pump. Access controls and security are by others. Alternates include: Removal of wall at kitchen and ceiling replacement Liquidated Damages as detailed in Section 004000 will apply to the resulting Contract. Architects Estimate for the total of this project is $150,000 (not including alternates). Protests, Technical Questions, Requests for Clarification or Changes of Specifications and/or Bidding Requirements, including Substitution Requests, must be received by the purchasing specialist in writing no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid closing date and time. Bidders shall comply with all BOLI and CCB requirements as adopted in Senate Bill 477 (effective January 1, 2006) including all filing, notification, and payment requirements; retainage for payment for labor, and the filing of a $30,000 public works bond with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. The Public Works Bond shall be obtained from a corporate surety authorized to do business in this state.
