Description

Deadline for Questions: October 31, 2022 - 10:00 a.m. Questions regarding the PUBLIC | PURCHASE website, posting of questions and bids may be directed to the PUBLICE | PURCHASE Help Desk, or to the City Contact for this project as follows: Name: David Burkett, Project Construction Manager Email: dburkett@cityofhesperia.us Phone: 760-947-1202 Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Engineer's Estimate of Probable Costs is $2,400,000 to $2,600,000 Completion of the work shall be four hundred eighty five (485) calendar days. Project Description: This project consists of construction of a new water pump station and a new sewer lift station located at two different sites (approximately 2.2 miles apart). The work consists of constructing and/or installing site improvements (asphalt paving, block wall, fencing, lighting, etc.), buildings, wet well, vaults, mechanical (such as piping, pumps, tank, valves, fittings, etc.), electrical, command and control (i.e., SCADA), unclassified excavation to include earthwork, grading, export and/or import and placement of material as required, and all appurtenant work related to a project of this type. The Work shall include all labor, equipment and materials required to complete the project as described in the Contract Documents and Specifications and the project plans, complete and in place and fully functional and operational. When submitting your bid online, a copy of the Bidder's security is acceptable. However, the three (3) apparent lowest Bidders shall submit their original wet-signed Bidder's bond, or other form of original Bidder's security, to the City either in person or via U.S. Mail within three (3) working days after the date of the online bid opening. Failure of any of these Bidders to submit an original of their Bidder's security within the stipulated deadline shall be cause for rejection of their Bid. The Pre-Bid Meeting is held in order for contractors to fully understand the scope of work. There will be no justification for failure to include all work in the bid that is required to complete the project. The City will not accept statements such as "that work was not included in my bid" or "that work is not normally included in this type of bid" or "I didn't know that work was included in the project" after a contract is awarded to a bidder. All bidders are responsible for due diligence in determining the full scope of work involved in this project and no change orders will be issued for failure to do so.Vendor attendance is required The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part(s) thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bid process, and to make a contract award in the best interest of the City *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
