East Birch Street Water Main

Installation of approximately 1,840 LF 4" diameter PVC water main, which will begin by connecting into existing 4" water main along East Birch Street, heading south crossing Old Route 54 (East Illinois Street). Water main crossing Route 54 will be encased in 10" diameter PVC casing, 70 LF, which will be installed by horizontal directional drill. The main will then head in southerly direction crossing the Norfolk Southern Railway being incased in 10" diameter steel casing, 80 LF, which will be installed by dry bore and jack, then looping into connection to existing 4" main on Pine Street. New main will also tee westerly running parallel with Route 54 south right-of-way along private property within permanent easements connecting into an existing 4" main.
