Description | The Ashland School District (the Owner) Requests Proposals from experienced Construction Manager|General Contractors (CM|GC) for the construction of the Ashland High School project. Proposers shall provide one (1) electronic copy of their proposal on a flash drive in a sealed envelope. The Ashland High School Science and Humanities Modernization project was originally a full design that included various aspects of modernization and improvement across the campus. Upon completion of design and a reconciled cost estimate the project was put out to bid in March of 2022. The bid was significantly higher than the reconciled cost estimates prior to bidding. As a result it was elected to hold for more favorable conditions. A portion of the work that encompassed some of the campus ADA and accessibility upgrades was completed during the summer of 2022. The CMGC will integrate with the project team providing guidance in developing a scope of work that will fit within the established MACC. See further scope details below: Ashland High School Modernization Project includes renovations, structural improvements, accessibility improvements, and MEP upgrades to both the Science/Library building and the Humanities building. The Humanities building development is specifically focused on seismic upgrades, a potential 3-story elevator and restroom addition, restroom renovations, and cladding at exterior corridors for safety, HVAC upgrades, fire alarm, fire sprinkler and security upgrades. The Science/Library building is specifically focused on science program modernization, including HVAC upgrades, structural improvements and security upgrades. In addition, there is potential for additional HVAC upgrades, fire alarms and security upgrades at some of the ancillary buildings on campus. This solicitation does not obligate the Owner to pay any costs incurred in preparation of Proposals. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal that is not in compliance with all prescribed requirements. For good cause, the Owner may reject any or all Proposals upon a written finding that it is in the public interest to do so. |
