Description

Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Concord, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 10,000-square-foot fitness / recreation center; for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; and fire / police facility. Add approximately 10,000 sq. ft expansion behind the living quarters of Fire Station #3 to relocate the gym, Division Chiefs' offices, and Safety Officers. Communications will renovate the current gym, large conference room and safety office to house new two Administrative Assistants, Training/QA Coordinator, Director, and future Deputy Director. Fire Administration will renovate Training Rooms #1 & #2 and convert them to make additional offices for use by Fire Administration. This would provide both departments immediate relief for much needed office space. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of July 16, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
