Description | The Department of Agriculture, Animal Industry Division is requesting a price quotation for the purchase, installation, and certification of one (1) biosafety cabinets to replace one (1) existing biosafety cabinets including removal and disposal of the existing biosafety cabinet. Award is dependent on availability of funds. Direct all questions regarding this Solicitation, and any questions or Issues relating to the accessibility of this Solicitation (Including the appendices and exhibits to this Document, and any other document related to this Solicitation), to: Wong, Raquel. I. SCOPE OF WORK Offeror will: 1. Be responsible for decontamination by licensed contractor, disassembly, removal, and disposal of single existing unit in accordance with city, state, and federalregulations. 2. Disassembly will include any electrical, sheet metal work, plumbing, and any other applicable services necessary for the complete removal of the current unit. 3. Be responsible forshipping, in house delivery, assembly, installation, and certification of single NU-Aire LabGard NU-540-400 ClassII, Type A2 biosafety cabinet or unit matching thismodel specifications and able to fit into footprint of old unit. The unit must be capable of being non- ducted. The unit dimension requirements are as follows: Height: 63 inches full assembled Width: 53 5/8 inches Depth: 32 7/8 inches Sash Opening - 10" (work access/front opening) Other unit features: Ultra-high efficienty 1/2 HP DC/ECM Motor UV light backwall External LED lighting Digital Pressure Sensor Removable Single piece stainless steel, Dished worksurface with prop-up 2 outlets in duplex, NEMA 5-15R, 3 AMP Mac, 115V 3-inch supply, 6-inch exhaust metal frame separatorless 99.99% @0.3 micron HEPA filters with permanent plenum 4. Installation shall include electrical, sheet metal work, plumbing, finishing and any other applicable services necessary to complete certification. 5. Be responsible for contracting bonded and licensed contractors for any necessary construction work required for the safe removal and disposal of the old biosafety cabinets and installation of the new biosafety cabinets. Gas will be reconnected to the replacement biosafety cabinets. This work will also include any other needed electrical, plumbing, or sheet-metal work required for installation. 6. Be responsible for complete repairs caused by accidental damage to building associated with removal and installation of biosafety cabinets to the satisfaction of the building manager and laboratory manager. 2022-06-VLS 7. Be responsible for the contracting of bonded and licensed professionals for the certification of the new biosafety cabinets. 8. Provide manufacturer's warranty of at least 5 years. 9. Be able to install the new unit in the footprint of the old unit, with appropriate service access totaling the maximum dimensions of W: 56" x D: 33" x H: 75" in bacteriology room. 10.
