Description | As of March 10, 2023, project was awarded to J C Lewis Co., Inc, but awarded amount is not available. Question Deadline 12/08/2022 at 3:00 PM ET Questions may be submitted in written form to: Executive Director of Maintenance: Mark Letchworth mark.letchworth@wilsonschoolsnc.net. Wilson County Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The reconstruction of six (6) all-weather tennis courts with approximate overall dimensions of 302 x 122. Remove existing fence fabric and haul away. Remove approximately 12 fence posts as required for equipment access during construction and store for re-installation. Remove concrete net post footings and center strap anchors and haul away. Pulverize asphalt and blend with base. Identification and excavation of unsuitable soils and cement stabilization is included in this Scope of Work. Shall survey and stake subgrade. Existing corner locations will remain. Shall fine grade subgrade as necessary. Add 1/2 of ABC stone, and laser grade and compact stone base. Stone shall extend approximately 12 beyond edge of asphalt. Install and compact hot-mix asphalt, Type RS9.5B, to a compacted thickness of 3 in two (2) - 11/2 lifts. Reinstall existing fence posts, top rail and gates. Sand, prime and paint existing framework, top rail and gates black. Provide and install approximately 848 L.F. of ten-foot-high black vinyl coated chain link fabric (9-gauge core, 1-3/4 mesh) onto existing painted frame. Existing gates, hardware, etc. to remain. Existing lighting to remain - no proposed scope included. Provide and install net post foundations (24 dia. x 36 deep - bell shaped) and center strap anchors in concrete. Net posts to be sleeved in PCV pipe. Price to include removal of spoil from tennis court area to an offsite location. After asphalt has cured a minimum of thirty (30) days, patch depressions/birdbaths holding more than 1116 water, after one hour on a sunny, 70-degree Fahrenheit day, with acrylic patching material. Apply two (2) coats of acrylic resurfacer (Laykold or equal) according to manufacturers directions. Apply one (1) sand-filled coat and one (1) finish coat of Laykold Colorcoat (or equal) according to manufacturers directions. Layout, mask and hand paint playing lines (2) with Laykold Textured White Acrylic Line Paint to conform to USTA specifications. Lines to be sealed with Laykold Line Prime prior to the application of line paint. Provide and install six (6) sets of black Courtmaster external-wind net posts (2-7/8 OD) with removable handles and six (6) Putterman Athletics 3.5MM Double Top Tapered tennis nets (Five (5) year warranty) with center straps (#1352T). Clean up area and dispose of all debris related to scope of work. Leave courts ready to play. Vendor is responsible of any and all necessary permits. |
