Description | Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of: the demolition and replacement of the existing 200,000-gallon Thompson Corner welded steel water storage tank in Hooksett, NH with a new 397,400-gallon nominal capacity glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank, and 700 linear feet of 12-inch diameter ductile iron water main from the tank to the existing Route 3 water main. The water main under Route 3 shall be installed via horizontal directional drilling of a 12-inch diameter HDPE DR11 pipe. The project also includes the furnishing and installation of a new equipment shed. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 300 calendar days for substantial completion. 360 calendar days for final completion (All Work shall be completed by May 30, 2024) Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1,000, for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $500 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. 2. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. 3. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of their Bid. 4. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by: A loan from the NH Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund. A grant from the NH Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund. A grant from the American Rescue Plan Act from the NH Department of Environmental Services (ARPA). 5. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof. |
