North 17th - Locust to Seminary Road Reconstruction

**As of June 12, 2023, project was awarded to Rees Construction, and the awarded amount is $1,669,239.59.** The City of Quincy's MR 671 Project consists of reconstructing North 17th Street from Locust Street to Seminary Road. Work includes 1721 tons of hot-mix asphalt, 4127 feet of combination curb & gutter, 1903 feet of storm sewers, 7288 square feet of PCC sidewalks, 387 square yards of rip rap, water service adjustments, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
