Description | The County of Sutter intends to award a contract which includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the replacement of the roof and all required flashing for the County Office Buildings located at 146 Garden Highway and 595 Boyd Street, Yuba City. The work includes the following: removal of existing roofing materials and flashing; removal of asbestos laden roofing materials (if encountered); replacement of damaged roof insulation / plywood; installing new flashing at parapet walls, HVAC curbs, skylights, penetrations, etc.; installing new connections to roof drains and overflow drains and scuppers; installing new composition shingle roofing system per the manufacturer's recommendations; and installing new 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system per the manufacturer's installation guidelines. Award of this contract requires a valid California contractor's license with the classification identified above. Questions Due Date: Oct 7th 2022, 10:00 AM PDT Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check, or cashier's check payable to the County of Sutter, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, in conformance with the requirements set forth in the contract documents, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Pursuant to California Contract Code Section 22300, the contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by the County to ensure performance under this contract. The County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
