Description

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, parts, supplies, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide inspection, preventative maintenance, repairs, and new installation for dry hydrants. A. Inspection/testing of the dry hydrants shall be performed between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M, Monday through Saturday or after hours at a time approved by the Fire/EMS designee. The Contractor shall inspect and test each site once a year with no more than 14 months between inspections if funding is available. B. The Contractor shall not perform any work that would adversely affect a dry hydrant under warranty from the manufacturer or supplier. C. The Contractor shall maintain a log for each piece of equipment serviced. A digital version of the Dry Hydrant Test form shall be sent to Fire-Rescue Administration via email along with the vendors billing statement/invoice. The Contractor shall provide a record of work to the Chief of Fire-Rescue or designee. Invoices will not be paid unless this information is provided in the requested format. The log shall contain, as a minimum, the following information for each piece of equipment serviced. Physical Location, Dry Hydrant Serial Number, Serial Number, Flow Rating (GPM), Date of Service D. After the completion of all maintenance the Contractor shall provide Fire-Rescue Admin with a hard copy of the records pertaining to dry hydrants in Goochland County. E. After notification of award, the Contractor shall provide the County a detailed plan of methodology ensuring all sites shall be inspected, tested, and documented.
