Description

The scope of work involves, but not necessarily limited to, saw cutting the roadway surfaces, placement of embedded loops and sealant, trenching, and placement of conduit and junction boxes. The scope of work will include the full cost of all special subcontracting, permits, licenses, certifications, materials, labor, equipment, tools, miscellaneous hardware, consumables, adhesives and sealants, incidentals, transport, storages, traffic control, safety operations, testing, operational start-up, clean-up, removal of old assemblies, and returns of all unused materials, as are applicable to this job. Install all loops per plan. Install loop boxes, conduit and lead-in cable as necessary. 1. For the intersection of S Fulton St and Lincolnton Rd: Install loop box. Then install lead-in cable from loop box to inside cabinet and remove the old loop wire, which was pulled directly into the cabinet from the curb. This loop was previously a 6x60 and 5 feet past stop bar. New loop needs to be a 6x40 at the stop bar. 2. For the intersection of Mocksville Ave and Grove St: Install loop box, on the side of the pole away from the intersection. Install conduit from loop box to c-condulet. Continue the loop wire from curb to c-condulet, making splice there. This loop was previously a 6x60. New loop needs to be a 6x40. Location being at the stop bar is correct. 3. For the intersection of W Cemetery St and N Ellis St: Install a loop box on the same side of the street as the loop. Run underground conduit to the traffic signal pole on the same corner. Add a loop riser/conduit with a c-condulet. Run lead-in cable from loop box to the top of the conduit (at the top of the pole) with enough spare for us to run it into the cabinet. 4. For the intersection of S Fulton St and W Harrison St, for loop 4A: Install loop box. Then install lead-in cable from loop box to inside cabinet and remove the old loop wire, which was pulled directly into the cabinet from the curb. This loop was previously a 6x60. New loop needs to be a 6x40. Location being at the stop bar is correct. 5. For the intersection of S Fulton St and W Harrison St, for loop 8A there is no pull box/junction box between the curb and the riser/loop conduit. The loop wire is pulled directly into the c-condulet to make the first junction. This loop was previously a 6x60. New loop needs to be a 6x40. Location being at the stop bar is correct. 6. For the intersection of S Main St and Airport Rd, the underground conduit was damaged for the three loops mentioned in the chart. We need new underground conduit and lead-in cable installed to replace the damaged material. Please install new materials from the traffic signal pole to loops, and install loop boxes per standards. Please also install the three loops per print.
