Description

This slope has been identified as experiencing rockfall that can impact both travel lanes of SR 14 in this area. Strategic slope stabilization will reduce the risk of rockfall and road closures. As of April 11, 2023, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2023. The contract advertisement is expected in first quarter of 2024 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the four quarter of 2024. WSDOT - SR 14/1.6 Miles West of Cook-Underwood Rd - Slope Stabilization *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
