Description | The Big Bend Water Treatment Plant at 1520 Thomas Edison Drive in Laughlin, NV is equipped with an ozone generator room containing three (3) ozone gas generators. The ozone generator room is currently equipped with a roof-top mounted, packaged HVAC unit and two ventilating fans mounted in front of two exterior windows. The existing roof-top mounted HVAC unit, connecting HVAC ductwork and ventilating fans do not adequately provide cooling air, ventilation and air filtration to the ozone generator room and ozone gas generator equipment. The HVAC ductwork that is currently routed to the three ozone gas generators has been repaired and replaced in sections with low cost, commercial-grade ductwork over the years. This project includes the demolition of the existing HVAC ductwork and ventilating fans and the supply and installation of the following, new equipment to serve the ozone generator room and the three (3) ozone gas generators: ?? One, new, roof-top mounted HVAC unit. ?? New air supply and air return distribution ductwork, duct dampers and associated equipment, including new ductwork to connect both of the new and existing roof-top mounted HVAC units together. ?? Four, new, motorized backdraft dampers to be installed into four, existing, exterior windows. ?? Two, new, roof mounted exhaust fans with backdraft dampers and connecting exhaust fan ductwork. ?? One, new, air filter rack and air filter to be installed at an existing, exterior window. ?? All electrical power supplies, HVAC controls, plumbing, accessories and associated equipment to support the HVAC systems. This project includes providing and installing all materials for modifications to the existing building envelope to accommodate the new HVAC equipment. This includes all necessary modifications to existing structural, architectural and roofing systems. HVAC system commissioning, balancing, start-up and check-out along with functional and performance testing of the HVAC systems will be required after the installation of the equipment is completed. Temporary cooling means shall be provided to maintain cooling air to the three ozone gas generators and to the ozone generator room through the demolition, construction, start-up and commissioning period of the new HVAC systems. |
