Description | It is the intent of DCSD to solicit bids for removing and replacing four split unit heat pumps at Hartsville Middle School. Remove (2) existing 20 ton Carrier split system Heat Pump air handler model # 40RMQ024—B611-HC Remove (4) 10 ton Heat pumps condensers model # 38ARQ012-601 and reinstall new units. System is 460 3 phase. Remove existing 7.5 ton Carrier split system Heat pump air handler model 40RMQ008-B611HC air handler 460 volt 3 phase and condenser Model 38AQS016-641 with 10kw heat strips also 460 volt 3 phase. This units services the stage area. Remove existing 5 ton Carrier split system heat pump air handler model FX4BNB060 208/230 volt single phase and condenser (model not available) with 10kw heat strips 208/230 volt single phase. INCLUDE: Install (2) new 20 ton Trane, Carrier or American Standard split system heat pump Air handler which is 460 3phase and (4) new Condensers each with 15kw heat strips on each both are 460 volt 3 phase. Install new 7.5 ton Trane, Carrier or American Standard split system heat pump with 460 volt 3 phase air handler and new condenser with 10kw heat strips. Install new 5 ton Trane, Carrier, or American Standard split system heat pump with 208/230 volt single phase air handler and new condenser with 10kw heat strips. Applies to all three units: Remove copper line sets & drains. Unhook all high voltage and control wiring. Remove all needed duct work and replace with new Heat Pumps with new line sets, flow switches, hail guards, drains, emergency drains and duct work needed to tie back to existing duct system All high voltage and control wiring needed to operate new system and tie back into existing control system. Fire alarm sensors and detector will need to be removed and reinstalled in new system. New thermostat lines will need to be run to existing thermostats. . Thermostats will be furnished by DCSD. Existing cement pad and disconnect can be reused. Duct work and Sheet Metal work might be needed to reconnect to existing duct system which can be reused. Drain line are to be adequately sloped for proper drainage. New drain lines are to be 1inch or larger schedule 40 PVC pipe. Drain lines are to be supported with supports being no further than 5 feet apart. Drain trap(s) are to be “Easy trap” brand traps with a built in float switch(s). This auxiliary drain pan will be properly supported in the middle and shall be made with 26 gauge metal which is stronger so that it can support the weight of the water in the event of an overflow. The auxiliary drain pan is to have a float switch installed at the lowest point of the pan. The 20 ton unit will need (4) new copper line sets w/ new insulation, hangers and brackets. Two condensers will need approximately 150 foot of line set the other two will need approximately 135 feet. Line set size will be engineer to compensate for unit size and distance. The 7.5 ton and the 5 ton unit’s line set will be approximately 125 feet long each. Insulation on refrigerant line is to be ¾ thick. All outside Refrigerant lines on exterior wall are to be covered with a bronze colored sheet metal cover down to within 2” of where the lines turn to go toward the unit. All wall penetrations will be filled to meet codes. All lines sets will be covered with insulations the full run of the line. Contractor will remove drop ceiling and reinstall drop ceiling as well as remove and reinstall seating in Auditorium. All materials and supplies used to install this unit are to be furnished by and installed by contractor. Safety precautions are to be taken to protect Students, Staff, Visitors, and other Employees. Contractor to complete work in a workmanlike manner. Old units and debris are to be cleaned up, hauled away and disposed of by contractor. |
