East Hartford Connecticut Flood Control System Toe Drain Repair Project Phase 1

The project consists of replacing about 2,400 linear feet of existing toe drain pipe with new pipe and graded filter. The main features of work include, but are not limited to, the following items: 1. Site preparation, clearing and grubbing topsoil stripping, stockpiling and spreading. 2. General site earthwork including excavation, stockpiling, disposal, backfilling and grading. 3. Removal of existing vitrified clay and porous concrete pipe. 4. Placement of new slotted PVC pipe with graded aggregate filter and manholes. 5. Reconstructing sidewalks and bituminous pavement. 6. Site Restoration and seeding. 7. Miscellaneous Construction: To include construction fencing, erosion and sediment control devices; slope protection, site maintenance, and grouting abandoned portions of the toe drain.
