Description

1. Servicing: Includes (1) or more of the following: Maintenance; Recharge; and Hydrostatic Testing. 2. Maintenance: A "thorough check" intended to give maximum assurance that the unit will operate effectively and safely. It includes a complete examination and any necessary repairs or replacement parts. It will normally reveal the need for Hydrostatic Testing. 3. Recharge: The replacement of the extinguishing agent (shall include expellant of extinguishment agent for certain types of fire extinguishers). 4. Hydrostatic Testing: Pressure testing of the cylinder to limits and standards as specified by the National Fire Protection Association pamphlet, NFPA No. 10. or latest.
