Description | The City of Henderson, Nevada, is soliciting Bids from qualified firms to complete building improvements to the Galleria Fleet Maintenance Facility ("GFMF"), located at 1575 Galleria Dr., Henderson, Nevada. GFMF is an existing 34,000sf pre-engineered steel structure erected in 2020. It houses administrative offices, support spaces, 12 service bays in the heavy duty shop, 8 service bays in the light duty shop, welding shop, tire Shop, and parts storage. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 1/31/2023 08:00:00 PM (ET) PROJECT SCOPE: A. Contractor shall perform all Work and provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete this project, which is comprised of two (2) main scopes of work: 1. HVAC conversion of existing evaporative cooling system to air rotation units in heavy duty shop and light duty shop; and Daikin VRV system in tire, welding, and parts storage areas per Exhibit A, GFMF HVAC Modification Drawings. a. Mechanical: i. Removal and disposal of existing evaporative coolers ii. Installation of owner furnished equipment including air rotation units, condensing units, heat pump condensing unit, indoor air handling units, fan coil units, central controller, intake ventilators, drainable blade louvers, supply diffusers, and return grilles per Exhibit C, Norman Wright Quote. iii. Contractor responsible for necessary curb adaptors, piping, insulation, ductwork, refrigerants, hangers, fasteners, and labor to make this installation complete. iv. Seal all roof and wall penetrations. b. Electrical: i. Demo electrical equipment associated with existing evaporative coolers. Existing circuits to be reallocated for new equipment. ii. Provide conduit for power and cabling to indoor fan coil units, outdoor units, motorized dampers, air rotation units, and controls as required by manufacturer and relocate existing circuits as noted. iii. Provide new weatherproof receptacles where noted. c. Structural: i. Provide new concrete pads and equipment support framing where noted. Some pads require footings and/or vibration isolation. 2. Fall Protection: a. Add fall protection support (beams, braces, stiffener plates) to three (3) bays within the heavy duty shop and welding shop per Exhibit G, GFMF Fall Arrest Drawings. b. Furnish and install three (3) Gorbel Tether Track Rigid Rail Protection Systems (2-person) with max arresting force of 900 lbs. B. For timing purposes, the City will submit Exhibit A and G drawings for permit review and will coordinate any changes that result from those reviews with the awarded Contractor. The City will pay the permit fees and shall not be included in the Bid amount. Any ancillary permits required beyond the submittal of the Exhibit A and G drawings will be the responsibility of the Contractor. C. Contractor will be responsible for protection of existing conditions and all site conditions during performance of this Contract. Contractor is responsible for all clean up associated with this project. All trash and debris shall be hauled off site daily. City dumpsters shall not be used. D. The City will be responsible for storage of owner furnished equipment. E. City will contract directly with Mesa Energy Systems, Inc., dba EMCOR Services Nevada, for BAS equipment and controls programming. Kordt Engineering Group (KEG) was tasked to provide structural engineering services for concrete pad footings supporting various exterior mechanical equipment units at the COH Maintenance Facility. The mechanical units are self supported with designed bases for 5/8" diameter anchor bolts. The proposed concrete pads are designed based on a conventional shallow footing, and design of the anchor bolts will also be done. Design of the equipment pad footing will be done by hand calculations, and anchor bolt designs will be done using the web based Hilti PROFIS. 22071, 22043 |
